The Pacific Collections Review project came to an end at the close of 2014. There are extensive resources available online at http://www.nms.ac.uk/pacific
These offer collections summaries for the four partner museums’ Pacific collections, as well as information on several other Scottish museums. There is also a resource for anyone looking for an introduction to working with Pacific cultural material.
Following the project, Aberdeen University Museums embarked on an important collections and conservation project centred around their Pacific collection.
As my post as Project Curator came to an end, I embarked on PhD research with the Australian National University as part of the ARC Laureate funded project ‘Collective Biography of archaeology in the Pacific: A Hidden History’.
